Webflow is a great tool that helps you build websites faster and more efficiently, but many people who are using it for the first time are confused with its pricing, so we’re here to help you understand it.

One thing you need to know is that pricing is not always the same, they change it from time to time, but we’ll make sure to update this article accordingly to keep you updated all the time, so you might want to save it for later.

There are several pricing plans and options that can be divided further into other plans and packages. We know it’s confusing, but let’s break it down.

First of all, here is the summary of all categories:

  • Free plan — The starting plan is activated automatically upon joining Webflow. It’s also commonly referred to as the starting plan. Technically, it is considered a site plan, but I will explain that later in detail.
  • Site plans — These are for anyone who wants to have their site hosted on Webflow and use its CMS service and other benefits. Site plans also have a subgroup of e-commerce site plans, tailored for those who want online shops.
  • Workspaces — These are made for in-house or freelance designer and developer teams who want to harness the power of the Webflow toolbox.‍

Webflow Pricing Explained‍

Free Plan

Webflow has a free plan which gives you full control over your website and CMS in “Designer” mode. This is forever free to use, but there are some limitations to that. On top of that, there are hundreds of videos on their YouTube channel to help you learn Webflow for free.

Some features are unavailable in this free plan, like adding custom domain, or removing Webflow branding from a test domain on webflow.io which is the only available option to publish your website for free. Here is an example of such a website.

By the way, you can only have two projects hosted in this plan.‍

Site Plans

Website plan is the plan to host your website and it’s only for one website, you can’t have more websites hosted on one plan. It allows you to add a custom domain and you can’t host your online shop here or have localization, those are separate categories.

This plan is mostly used for personal websites, blogs, portfolios, simple projects, or landing pages. Pricing starts at $14 per month for a basic package.

If you need an e-commerce plan for your online shop, you need a bigger package that starts at $29 per month.

As I mentioned, Webflow has SEO Localization which is great for multilingual websites but you need a separate plan for that and it starts with $9 a month per locale. You can learn more about that here.‍

Workspace Plans

The main difference between Workspace and Site Plan is that you’re charged per account and not per website. This is more for Webflow developers and designers who wish to have multiple websites on their account or in-house teams that need it for the same purpose.

For that reason, plans are divided into two groups, “For in-house teams” and “For freelancers and agencies”.

The starter plan when you open a new account is free, but if you decide to get one of the two plans you get additional features. The pricing starts at $16 a month per seat for the Freelancer plan and $19 a month per seat for the In-house teams. For that money you get code export, site password protection, project transfers, 10 or more unhosted sites, guests (which are temporarily visitors or users), and much more.‍
